The Knabenchor is connected with vocal ensembles such as the Himlische Cantorey, the Hilliard Ensemble and Cantus Cölln through regular musical collaboration. The Knabenchor is invited regularly by orchestras for the performance of large symphonic works, for example by the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg for Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem” and by the NDR Sinfonieorchester for Gustav Mahler’s 3rd symphony. Prominent conductors such as Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Christoph Eschenbach, John Eliot Gardiner, Michael Gielen, Philipp Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Kent Nagano and Simone Young have worked with the choir. The Knabenchor regularly and intensively cooperates with the NDR Radiophilharmonie and the NDR Sinfonieorchester.

Among others, the choir has performed with the following orchestras and ensembles: Concerto Palatino, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, London Baroque, the Barockorchester L’Arco, Concerto Köln, Musica Alta Ripa, the Nürnberger Symphoniker, the Münchener Philharmoniker and London Brass. The choir is repeatedly invited to major music festivals such as the Bachfest Leipzig, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Internationale Händel-Festspiele in Göttingen and Halle, the MDR Musiksommer or the Niedersächsische Musiktage. Boy soloists from the choir appear regularly in performances of Mozart’s Magic Flute at the Staatsoper Hannover.
